Badass characters who are basically ruthless,
overpowered and who doesn’t give a shit about anything they are either be
anti-villain or hero. The order begins from descending order.
Kyoya Hibari:(Hitman Reborn)
Hibari
is a scary character who has no care for the well-being of others, He prefers
to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He is confident in his own
strength and power. This often leads to his opponents surprising him, as he
doesn't think before attacking. As the head of Namimori Middle's Disciplinary
Committee, Hibari uses authority to assault those that get on his nerves,
including his own subordinates.
Afro Samurai:
Afro is a fairly quiet, stern, and serious
person, though, on occasion, seems aloof. He rarely ever smiles or laughs,
despite being depicted smiling and laughing throughout his childhood and
teenage years. In numerous flashbacks during his childhood, Afro is seen
smiling and laughing with his friends. However, as a result of the death of his
father by Justice's hand, and the death of most of his friends and master, Afro
became a silent and cold blooded killer. He has no qualms about killing anyone
and everyone in his path, stating that his only aim is to "move forward”
Spike Spiegel:(Cowboy
Bepop)
Spike is a slothful, nonchalant, indifferent,
and lazy character. He passes the vast majority of his time on the Bebop
lounging, watching TV, or sleeping. In a few rare occasions, he is also seen
practicing Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts practice he is very skilled in, being
among other things passionate of Bruce Lee and his philosophies (for example,
he follows Lee's "water" analogy for his style of fighting). He is a
hardened smoker, shown with a cigarette in his mouth in practically every shot (the
poor conditions in the cigarettes that are depicted recall those of Daisuke
Jigen.) Although he rarely acknowledges it, Spike has very little patience.
Vegeta:(Dragon Ball)
Vegeta is arrogant throughout the series and
becomes bitter due to the abuse his race suffered at the hands of Frieza.
Following the destruction of his homeworld Planet Vegeta, his hatred toward
Frieza grows. His royalty seems to have bestowed upon him an inflated sense of
superiority, holding himself above nearly everyone he encounters. He is immensely
proud of his Saiyan heritage and believes his race to be the most powerful in
the universe. Despite this, even as an antagonist, he did not act as an
ordinary Saiyan, being even crueler and prideful thanks to Frieza's influence.
As the Prince of a demolished Planet Vegeta, Vegeta is initially introduced as
an unrepentant villain.
Ken kaneki:(Tokyo Ghoul)
After being held captive and undergoing intense
torture at the hands of Yamori, Kaneki's personality changed drastically. He
trashed his previous ideology of "being hurt rather than hurting
others," pledging to crush those who dared threaten his place of
belonging. He adopted the habit of cracking his knuckles from his torturer,
Yamori. In his subconscious, Kaneki ate "Rize," the image of his
ghoul self. This displayed that he accepted the "ghoul" within him;
instead of being influenced by it, he appeared to have become the one to
surpass it. Kaneki became ruthless, cruel, and brutal in order to protect his
friends, yet he managed to maintain complete composure. He no longer feared his
ghoul side and was more violent during battles, such as when he cannibalized
Yamori's kagune in order to strengthen himself, and mercilessly broke 103 of
Ayato's bones.[20] By embracing his ghoul nature wholeheartedly, Kaneki gave up
on being "human."
Alucard:(Hellsing)
Alucard fights with ferocity, and often extreme
cruelty, rarely shooting to kill until his target has been completely disabled
and humiliated. However, he does have some humanity left in him, as he is still
capable of shedding tears and showing affection for those who are dear to him,
taken by Alexander Anderson to mean that he is not completely lost. As he is
essentially immortal and invulnerable, Alucard is very egotistical. He freely
taunts and belittles his opponents, often allowing them to inflict seemingly
fatal wounds before healing himself and counterattacking. One of his favorite
methods of fighting is to allow himself to be blown to shreds before simply
flowing back together. An example is shown in volume 2 when Alucard fights Luke
Valentine. When Luke gains an advantage over Alucard, victory seems within his
grasp. The tides turn when Alucard transforms a part of himself into a
hellhound. Alucard then blows off both of Luke's legs with his guns before
telling him to regenerate them, pick up his gun, and fight back. When Luke
fails to do so, Alucard devours Luke, declaring him as little more than dog
food.
Itachi Uchiha:(Naruto)
A pacifist at heart, Itachi did not actually
like fighting and would avoid it when he could. When he couldn't, he would end
the fight as quickly as possible, all the while holding himself back as much as
possible. Despite this, Itachi felt his own needs were secondary to the greater
good's and to that end he became a shinobi. He trained tirelessly to improve
himself as quickly as he could and subjected himself to all of the shinobi
life's inconveniences without complaint for the simple motivation of being
useful to others. His commitment borderlined recklessness, due to training
privately using extremely deadly methods such as dodging a barrage of kunai in
the anime. Being so accomplished as a ninja enabled Itachi to approach problems
less violently than others would, satisfying his peace-loving nature. These two
extremes of his personality came into conflict as events moved toward the
Uchiha Clan Downfall; he did not want to harm his family and sought a peaceful
resolution, but knew that the path with the least bloodshed would be the clan's
extermination. When the Uchiha Clan refused to deter from their plans, Itachi
was pushed over the edge and his normally polite attitude to his clansmen
became more violent, criticising them openly and lashing out at them for the
choices that sealed their fates and his own. Despite his natural pacifism and
kindness, Itachi was possessed of a wrathful and merciless side when those he
loved were hurt or threatened. In revenge for Yashiro Uchiha's cowardly
manipulations of his father from the shadows and helping to provoke war against
Konohagakure while keeping free of responsibility himself, Itachi used his
Tsukuyomi to force him to experience days of torture in an instant after making
him realise how weak he was in comparison to Itachi himself. Itachi would later
use Amaterasu to execute the helpless Root member Sugaru in revenge for Sugaru
poisoning Shisui.
Light Yagami:(Death Note)
Upon coming into contact with the death note,
Light strong sense of justice is unearthed and starts his escapade to rid the
world of evil. But the introduction of L begins to reveal Light's competitive
side. His hunger to defeat L consumed him and this is where he began to lose
the better parts of his personality. His confrontation with L showed his
brilliance and cunning as well as the arrogance he held. The constant strain
pushed his psyche to great limits and contorted his mind thus changing his
persona entirely.
Levi Ackerman:(Attack on Titan)
As a result of his early childhood years, Levi
is described as a "clean freak" by those who know him personally as
he prefers his environment and himself to be spotlessly clean. He is averse to
having either himself or his equipment soiled, and has been known to wipe down
his blood-smeared blades while still on the battlefield
Guts:(Berserk)
Guts is a tormented soul that has gone through a
lot since his birth. He was raised among mercenaries with an adoptive father,
Gambino blaming him for all his woes and wishing the boy had died. It didn't
help that Guts was raised on battlefields and that Gambino sold him for one
night to a man. This greatly affected Guts and lead him to be distant from all
for a long time. Things changed after being forced into the Band of the Hawk by
their leader Griffith. Guts was harsh at first and intent to leave. Guts only
trusted in that of his broadsword as through all he had been through growing
up. The sword had never betrayed Guts and was always there to protect him. He
gradually found his place with Griffith taking him as best friend. Many soldiers
gave praise to Guts in years to come. Guts held true to his namesake as he
never backed down for any reason or for any one even when he had to go up
against the legendary immortal Nosferatu Zodd
